Prayer of Strength For the Day

I wrote this as my morning prayer…

Heavenly Father, give me the strength I need to conquer this day.
It’s to You that I give thanks for Your loving grace.
I ask that You take away my fears of the challenges I face.
Give me the means to allow You to fight the battles and troubles in my life.
Each day brings new obstacles and I know that without You, I am nothing.
Bring peace in my heart as I turn ALL things over to You.

In Christ’s name, I pray,

AMEN

I can’t believe I’m posting something that was aired on MSNBC. It was full of passion without stumbling over any words. This country needs more people publicly speaking rather than hearing the two sides bicker back and forth and solve nothing.

Money and politics is the root of all political evil. It is corruption at it’s worst and until we step up and kick that out of the park, it’s going to be the same system all the time.

Arguing Politics on the Internet

Seriously, don’t argue politics on the internet. Not using Facebook has been an escape from people who think their view is the only way it should be and everyone else is stupid. Unfortunately, general debate is no longer an option and true colors show that you’re not out for the good of the people but what you’re fed, and eat up, by the letter “R” or “D” or your favorite website instead of what’s best for everyone.

Most of the time people are so enthralled with their ideology that it turns into stupidity. There are 100 ideological websites opposing your 100 ideological websites. Use your own mind to determine what’s right. This isn’t sports where you have a team to root for because they’re your high school, college or pro team, this is about the direction your country takes. Start taking some responsibility and stop relying on being fed by your favorite website and start reading everything.

While I’m on my tirade, stop being a jackass about how you think things should be, vote the way you want and stop the stupid name calling or whining while trying to force beliefs or values on someone who doesn’t conform to what you think. It really sounds easier than it seems to tell nut jobs.
